10 YR MISSOURI STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY
IN HONOR OF DAVID'S BIRTHDAY!
We were proud to release our first-ever batch (Batch I) of 10-year-old Missouri Straight Bourbon Whiskey from the state of Missouri!
This incredible single barrel represents long-term vision incarnate. It was laid down in October of 2014 and it boasts a mash bill of 70% Corn, 20% Rye, and 10% Malted Barley. After ten years, the angels greedily took their share but left us ~120 bottles at a deceptively smooth 134.6proof. While not 'Hazmat', this whiskey provides incredible complexity and distinctly unique old-style corn flavors with a rich rye note layered in.
This uncut, unfiltered whiskey is bottled at barrel strength (134.6 Proof) and the 750ml bottles are all hand engraved. This is truly one of the most delicious collector's items you'll ever find.

Tasting Notes: The caramel sweetness and smoothness are stunning given the high proof. This Cask Strength single barrel clocks in at a surprisingly smooth 134.6 proof of decadent bourbon richness. The nose is rich caramel-wrapped rye spice whose promise is fulfilled on the palate with an initial corn burst wrapped in caramel and peppery spice ensconced in warm oak. This is everything we love about bourbon and shows the true complexity of which Missouri Bourbon is capable. Un-cut, un-filtered, barrel-strength whiskey straight out of this old barrel!
Big Smoke American Single Malt Whiskey
The indomitable merging of Past & Present
This spirit is truly a passion project. Our owner/distiller David Weglarz has a particular love for the emerging category of American Single Malt Whiskey and enjoys smoked whiskeys in general. To him, smoke and whiskey are just "affinity flavors."
This inaugural version of Big Smoke is 100% malt barley. The majority of which was smoked with Cherrywood to add rich fruity and smokey flavors. It is a 53gal single barrel aged over five years old and bottled at 110 proof. We have released similar versions of this recipe labeled "The Truth" and "Farewell 2020" over the years. So if you loved those, here is a bigger, better, richer version!
This iteration of "Big Smoke" will be the first in an evolving line of smoked American Single Malt Whiskeys that we will release. We expect each batch to be slightly/wildly different, but remarkable and fantastic in its own way.
(The name originates as a nod to David's collegiate nickname and to allude to the nose and palate of the whiskey.)
Tasting Notes:
Nose of baking dough, charred stone fruit. Palate is large juicy wave of cherry pie crust with warm smoke interwoven. Bold and cohesive, big sweet juicy smoked whiskey.
